How to Use

Dosage

For adults, take 1/2 to 1 tablet (500-1000 mg) every 4-6 hours.

Method

You can take the tablets with or without food. The tablet can be split in half.

Important

Do not take more than 3000 mg (3 tablets) in one day.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Allergic reaction (skin rash, itching, sometimes trouble breathing, swelling of lips, tongue, throat, or face).
  • Skin peeling, rashes, or sores.
  • Mouth sores.
  • Breathing problems if you have previously had similar reactions to aspirin or other anti-inflammatory pain relievers.
  • Blood problems, such as unexplained bleeding or bruising.
  • Severe skin reactions.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to paracetamol or any other ingredient.
  • Do not use this medicine without a doctor's advice if you have heart failure, liver or kidney disease, or an alcohol problem.
  • Be careful if you use this medicine for a long time, especially if you have liver or kidney problems.
  • Taking too much paracetamol can cause severe liver damage.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are already taking other medicines that contain paracetamol for pain, fever, cold, flu, or sleep.

  • Do not use other pain relievers at the same time without a doctor's prescription.
  • Always talk to your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, are underweight, malnourished, or drink alcohol regularly.
  • Tell your doctor if you are taking the antibiotic flucloxacillin, as there is a serious risk of blood and fluid problems.
  • Do not exceed the recommended dose. Always use the lowest dose that helps your symptoms.
  • See a doctor if you don't feel better or if you feel worse after 5 days. For continuous use, only under doctor's instructions.
  • Not recommended for children and teenagers under 18 years old.
  • If you take too much, or if a child accidentally takes this medicine, contact a doctor, hospital, or poison control center right away.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category A

Suitable for older adults. The recommended maximum dose for long-term use is 2 grams per day. Can be used concurrently with warfarin only if INR values are monitored. Consider paracetamol in OTC drugs and combination products. Risk of poisoning with daily doses over 4 grams. (updated 14.4.2025)
