How to Use

Dosage

One tablet (1000 mg) every 4–6 hours.

Method

Dissolve one tablet in a full glass of water and drink immediately.

Important

Do not exceed 3 tablets (3000 mg) in 24 hours.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Frequent infections due to low white blood cells, unusual breakdown of red blood cells causing weakness or paleness, low blood cell count.
  • Allergic reactions, including severe immediate allergic reactions (anaphylactic shock).
  • Itching, rash, sweating, red or purple skin spots, hives, severe skin reactions including erythema multiforme.
  • Depression, confusion, hallucinations.
  • Tremors, headache.
  • Vision disturbances.
  • Swelling due to abnormal fluid retention, including swelling in the larynx.
  • Stomach pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, bleeding.
  • Liver problems, including liver failure, liver cell death, jaundice, and liver damage.
  • Dizziness, general uneasiness, malaise, fever, drowsiness, drug interactions.
  • Overdose and poisoning.
  • Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia).
  • Cloudy urine and kidney problems, severe kidney failure, kidney disease (interstitial nephritis), blood in urine, inability to urinate.
  • Shortness of breath, bronchospasm (narrowing of airways).
  • Serious condition that can increase blood acidity (metabolic acidosis) in severely ill patients using paracetamol.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to paracetamol or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Never take more than the recommended dose, as this can cause severe liver damage.
  • Do not give to children or adolescents under 16 years of age or weighing less than 50 kg.
  • Do not use paracetamol if you have liver damage or alcohol dependence, unless your doctor has told you to.
  • The cap contains a desiccant, do not eat it.

  • Stop taking this medicine and seek immediate medical help if you experience swelling of the face, tongue or throat, difficulty swallowing, red and itchy skin rash, or difficulty breathing.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category A

Suitable for older adults. The recommended maximum dose for long-term use is 2 grams per day. Can be used concurrently with warfarin only if INR values are monitored. Consider paracetamol in OTC drugs and combination products. Risk of poisoning with daily doses over 4 grams. (updated 14.4.2025)
