How to Use

Dosage

Typically one 40 mg tablet once a day. Your doctor may adjust the dose based on your condition.

Method

Take the tablet whole with a little water one hour before a meal. Do not chew, crush, or split the tablet.

Important

Do not take more than two 40 mg tablets per day, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Pantoprazol Orion if you are allergic to pantoprazole or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Seek medical help immediately and stop taking this medicine if you have a severe allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face, tongue, or throat, difficulty swallowing or breathing, hives, or severe dizziness with rapid heartbeat and sweating.
  • Stop taking this medicine and contact your doctor immediately if you develop serious skin reactions such as blistering, peeling skin, or flu-like symptoms, especially if accompanied by fever or painful sores in the mouth, eyes, or genitals.
  • Contact your doctor immediately if you experience unexplained weight loss, repeated vomiting, vomiting blood, black stools, difficulty swallowing, paleness, yellowing of the skin or eyes, severe kidney problems, or persistent watery diarrhea.
  • Long-term use (over 3 months) can decrease magnesium and B12 vitamin levels in your body and increase the risk of bone fractures. Discuss with your doctor if you are using this medicine long-term or are at risk for these deficiencies.
