How to Use

Dosage

Take one tablet a day.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with water before a meal, at the same time each day. Do not chew or break it.

Important

Do not take more than 20 mg of pantoprazole per day.

  • Skin coming off and bleeding around eyes, nose, mouth, or genitals, with quick worsening of health
  • Rash from sun exposure
  • Joint pain with flu-like symptoms
  • Red, target-like spots or circles on the body
  • Widespread rash, high fever, and swollen lymph nodes
  • Yellowing of skin and eyes (due to severe liver damage)
  • Enlarged kidneys, sometimes with painful urination and lower back pain

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to pantoprazole or any of its ingredients.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are using certain HIV medicines like atazanavir or nelfinavir.
  • Do not use this medicine for more than 4 weeks without talking to your doctor.
  • If your symptoms do not get better after 2 weeks of taking this medicine, talk to your doctor.
  • This medicine is not for children or teenagers under 18 years old.

  • Stop taking this medicine and see a doctor right away if you get a severe skin rash, blisters, or skin peeling.
  • If you take this medicine for a long time, it can affect your vitamin B12, bones (risk of fractures), and magnesium levels. Talk to your doctor if you have extreme tiredness, bone pain, or muscle cramps.
  • Tell your doctor if your heartburn or stomach problems have been treated for 4 weeks or more, or if you are over 55 and your reflux symptoms are new or have changed recently.
  • If you feel dizzy or have problems with your vision, do not drive or use machines.
  • Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
