How to Use

Dosage

For adults: 1 to 2 sachets every 4 to 6 hours.

Method

Mix the contents of one sachet in hot water and drink it while warm.

Important

Do not take more than 3 grams (3000 mg) of paracetamol per day.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Allergic reactions like rash, itching, trouble breathing, or swelling of the lips, tongue, throat, or face.
  • Skin peeling, rash, or blisters.
  • Sores in the mouth.
  • Breathing problems if you have had them before with aspirin or other anti-inflammatory pain relievers.
  • Blood problems, such as unusual bleeding or bruising.
  • A serious condition where the blood becomes too acidic (metabolic acidosis), which can cause severe breathing difficulties, drowsiness, nausea, and vomiting.
  • Liver damage, especially if you drink a lot of alcohol.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to paracetamol or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • If you have heart, liver, or kidney problems, or alcohol problems, ask your doctor before using.
  • Panadol Hot is for short-term use. If symptoms last longer than 3 days or come back often, see a doctor.
  • This medicine contains paracetamol. Taking too much paracetamol can cause serious and life-threatening liver damage.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are already taking other medicines for pain, fever, cold, or flu that contain paracetamol.

  • Do not use other pain relievers at the same time without a doctor's permission.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, are underweight or malnourished, or regularly drink alcohol.
  • Not for use by children under 18 years of age.
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category A

Suitable for older adults. The recommended maximum dose for long-term use is 2 grams per day. Can be used concurrently with warfarin only if INR values are monitored. Consider paracetamol in OTC drugs and combination products. Risk of poisoning with daily doses over 4 grams. (updated 14.4.2025)
