How to Use

Dosage

For adults and children over 12 years (40 kg and above): 1-2 tablets up to 3 times a day.

Method

Swallow tablets whole. Do not suck or chew. Can be taken with or without food.

Important

Maximum 6 tablets per day. Do not take more often than every 6 hours.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Allergic reaction, such as rash, itching, difficulty breathing, or swelling of lips, tongue, throat, or face.
  • Peeling skin, skin rashes, or blisters.
  • Mouth sores.
  • Breathing problems, especially if you have had them before with aspirin or other anti-inflammatory pain relievers.
  • Blood problems, such as unusual bleeding or bruising.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to paracetamol or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Consult a doctor before use if you have heart failure, kidney or liver disease, or alcohol problems, or if you use this medicine long-term.
  • This medicine contains paracetamol. Taking too much paracetamol can cause severe liver damage and can be life-threatening.
  • Do not use this medicine with other paracetamol-containing prescription or over-the-counter medicines for pain, fever, cold, or flu symptoms.
  • Do not exceed the recommended dose. If you have taken too much medicine or if a child has taken medicine by mistake, contact a doctor or poison control center immediately.

  • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten tablet.
  • If you are taking flucloxacillin (an antibiotic), talk to your doctor, as there is a serious risk of a blood and fluid imbalance (metabolic acidosis) which requires urgent treatment. Symptoms include severe breathing difficulties, tiredness, nausea, and vomiting.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category A

Suitable for older adults. The recommended maximum dose for long-term use is 2 grams per day. Can be used concurrently with warfarin only if INR values are monitored. Consider paracetamol in OTC drugs and combination products. Risk of poisoning with daily doses over 4 grams. (updated 14.4.2025)
