How to Use

Dosage

For adults and children over 50 kg (about 15 years and older): One to two tablets (500-1000 mg) at a time.

Method

Let the tablet dissolve in your mouth or in half a glass of water; do not chew it.

Important

No more than 6 tablets (3000 mg) in 24 hours.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Increased liver enzyme levels.
  • Allergic reactions, such as rash, itching, swelling of the face or tongue, or difficulty breathing. If you experience a severe allergic reaction, stop taking this medicine and seek medical help immediately.
  • Severe skin reactions.
  • Changes in blood cells, such as reduced platelets (which may cause nosebleeds or gum bleeding) or reduced white blood cells (which may increase the risk of infection).
  • A serious condition where the blood becomes too acidic (metabolic acidosis), especially in severely ill patients.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to paracetamol or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have severe liver disease.
  • Do not use if you have phenylketonuria (PKU), as this medicine contains aspartame.
  • Do not take other medicines containing paracetamol at the same time to avoid overdose.
  • This medicine should not be given to children weighing less than 27 kg.

  • Talk to your doctor if you weigh less than 50 kg, have liver or kidney disease, are an alcoholic, are dehydrated, malnourished, or take other medicines that affect your liver.
  • In case of overdose, contact a doctor immediately, even if you feel well, as there is a risk of severe liver damage.
  • Contact a doctor if your symptoms do not improve or worsen after three days.
  • Do not take more than 4 tablets in 24 hours if you weigh less than 50 kg, are an alcoholic, are dehydrated, or chronically malnourished, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category A

Suitable for older adults. The recommended maximum dose for long-term use is 2 grams per day. Can be used concurrently with warfarin only if INR values are monitored. Consider paracetamol in OTC drugs and combination products. Risk of poisoning with daily doses over 4 grams. (updated 14.4.2025)
