How to Use

Dosage

Based on child's weight: Pamol F 125 mg (9–16 kg) 1 tablet up to 3 times a day. Pamol F 250 mg (17–50 kg) 1–2 tablets up to 3 times a day, depending on weight.

Method

For children under 6: Dissolve the tablet in water or milk and give to the child. For children over 6: The tablet can be sucked on or dissolved in water/milk.

Important

Maximum 45 mg of paracetamol per kg of body weight per day, unless otherwise directed by a doctor.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Increase in liver enzyme levels.
  • Allergic reactions, such as rash, itching, swelling of the face or tongue, difficulty breathing.
  • Severe skin reactions.
  • Blood disorders (decrease in platelets or white blood cells) which can cause bleeding or increase risk of infections.
  • Metabolic acidosis (increased blood acidity), especially in severely ill patients.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if the child is allergic to paracetamol or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if the child has severe liver disease or phenylketonuria (a rare genetic condition).
  • Do not give other medicines containing paracetamol at the same time to avoid overdose.
  • Contact a doctor if symptoms do not improve within 3 days or if they get worse.
  • Talk to a doctor before use if the child has liver or kidney problems, is underweight, dehydrated, or chronically malnourished.

  • If an overdose is suspected, contact a doctor or poison control center immediately, even if the child appears well.
  • Children under 6 years should not suck on the tablet; it should be dissolved.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category A

Suitable for older adults. The recommended maximum dose for long-term use is 2 grams per day. Can be used concurrently with warfarin only if INR values are monitored. Consider paracetamol in OTC drugs and combination products. Risk of poisoning with daily doses over 4 grams. (updated 14.4.2025)
