Palonosetron Macure is a medicine that helps prevent nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy in adults and children over 1 month old.
For adults, the usual dose is 250 micrograms. For children and adolescents (1 month to 17 years), the doctor will determine the dose based on body weight, up to a maximum of 1500 micrograms.
A doctor or nurse will give the medicine as an injection or slow infusion into a vein, usually about 30 minutes before your chemotherapy treatment begins.
This medicine is usually given as a single dose for each chemotherapy cycle. The maximum is 250 micrograms for adults, and up to 1500 micrograms for children and adolescents.
