Oxyratio Depot is a strong pain medicine that works on the central nervous system and belongs to a group of medicines called opioids.
The usual starting dose for adults and adolescents (12 years and older) is 10 mg of oxycodone hydrochloride every 12 hours. In some cases, your doctor may prescribe a starting dose of 5 mg to reduce possible side effects.
Swallow the prolonged-release tablets whole or halved with enough liquid (half a glass of water) in the morning and evening, following a fixed schedule (e.g., 8 AM and 8 PM). You can take Oxyratio Depot with or without food. Do not chew or crush the tablets.
For severe cancer pain, the daily dose can be increased up to 400 mg of oxycodone hydrochloride. Your doctor will determine your exact maximum dose.
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Sedative. Reduce the dose already in mild renal impairment. Increases the risk of confusion and falling. Need for laxative is often necessary. Consider potential interactions. Avoid grapefruit. (updated 24.3.2025)
