How to Use

Dosage

The usual starting dose for adults and adolescents (12-18 years) is 10 mg of oxycodone hydrochloride every 12 hours. For non-cancer pain, a daily dose of 40 mg is often enough, but higher doses may be needed. For cancer pain, doses are usually 80-120 mg daily, and can be increased to 400 mg in some cases.

Method

Swallow the whole tablet with half a glass of water, either with or without food. Take your dose in the morning and evening at the same time each day (e.g., 8 AM and 8 PM). Do not chew, break, or crush the tablets, as this can release too much medicine at once and be dangerous.

Important

For non-cancer pain, typically up to 40 mg daily. For cancer pain, doses can go up to 400 mg daily in specific cases, as directed by your doctor.
