Oxycorion Depot
Oxycorion Depot is a strong pain reliever used for adults and adolescents aged 12-18 to treat severe pain.
How to Use
Dosage
The usual starting dose is 10 mg of oxycodone hydrochloride twice daily (every 12 hours). Your doctor will prescribe the correct dose for your pain.
Method
Swallow the tablet whole with half a glass of water, with or without food. Take your dose in the morning and in the evening at the same time each day. Do not chew, break, or crush the tablet.
In individual cases, the dose can be increased up to 400 mg of oxycodone hydrochloride per day.

- •Physical dependence with withdrawal symptoms
- •Increased sensitivity to pain
- •Tooth decay, dental problems
- •Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis)
Important Warnings
- Do not take if you are allergic to oxycodone hydrochloride or any other ingredient in this medicine.
- Do not take if you have severe breathing problems (like low oxygen or high carbon dioxide in your blood).
- Do not take if you have severe long-term lung disease (COPD), a heart problem from lung issues, or severe asthma.
- Do not take if you have a certain type of bowel blockage (paralytic ileus) or acute stomach pain, or slow stomach function.
- This medicine contains oxycodone, which is an opioid. It can cause dependence and/or addiction.

- Do not use Oxycorion Depot with alcohol. Alcohol can increase the risk of serious side effects like drowsiness, slow breathing, unconsciousness, and coma, which can be life-threatening.
- Avoid drinking grapefruit juice while taking Oxycorion Depot, as it can increase the medicine's effect.
- Do not take Oxycorion Depot during pregnancy unless absolutely necessary. Long-term use during pregnancy can cause life-threatening withdrawal symptoms in the newborn.
- Do not take Oxycorion Depot while breastfeeding, as oxycodone passes into breast milk and can cause breathing difficulties in the infant.
- Oxycorion Depot affects concentration and reaction time. Be careful when driving or operating machinery.
Use in Elderly Patients
Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Sedative. Reduce the dose already in mild renal impairment. Increases the risk of confusion and falling. Need for laxative is often necessary. Consider potential interactions. Avoid grapefruit. (updated 24.3.2025)
