How to Use

Dosage

The usual starting dose is one 5 mg capsule every 6 hours, but your doctor will prescribe the right dose for your condition.

Method

Swallow the capsules whole with enough water. You can take them with or without food. Do not take with alcohol.

Important

Do not take two doses within 4 hours, and never take a double dose if you miss one.

  • Sleep apnea (stopping breathing during sleep)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to oxycodone hydrochloride or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take if you have severe breathing problems, severe chronic lung disease, a heart condition due to lung problems, or acute, severe asthma.
  • Do not take if you have a condition where your intestines are blocked (paralytic ileus).
  • This medicine contains oxycodone, which is an opioid, and can cause dependence or addiction.
  • Do not drink alcohol or grapefruit juice while taking this medicine, as it can increase side effects and risks.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C
