How to Use

Dosage

A doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Typical starting doses are: 1–10 mg as a slow injection into a vein (can be repeated every 4 hours), 2 mg per hour as an infusion into a vein, 5 mg as an injection under the skin (can be repeated every 4 hours), or 7.5 mg per day as an infusion under the skin.

Method

The medicine is given as an injection (shot) or infusion (drip) under the skin or into a vein.

Important

Your doctor will determine the maximum daily dose you can take.

  • feeling weak or tired
RARE
  • difficulty swallowing
  • hallucinations
  • blurred vision
  • seizures
  • low blood pressure
  • hives (itchy rash)
  • aggression
  • difficulty breathing during sleep (sleep apnea)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Oxycodone Kalceks if you are allergic to oxycodone or any other ingredient in this medicine, or to morphine or other opioids.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you have severe breathing problems, such as severe COPD or severe asthma.
  • This medicine should not be given to children or adolescents under 18 years of age.
  • Do not drink alcohol or grapefruit juice while using this medicine, as they can increase side effects like drowsiness and breathing problems.
  • This medicine can cause dependence and/or addiction. If you feel you cannot control your use, talk to your doctor.
