Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Feeling dizzy, headache, feeling sleepy
  • Constipation, throwing up, feeling sick to your stomach
  • Itching
  • Loss of appetite
  • Changes in mood or how you think (like feeling anxious, sad, nervous, having trouble sleeping, strange thoughts, or confusion)
  • Shaking (tremor)
  • Shortness of breath
  • Stomach pain, diarrhea, indigestion, dry mouth
  • Rash, sweating a lot
  • Feeling unusually weak or tired, lethargy
RARE
  • Allergic reactions, including severe ones like sudden swelling of the face or throat, rash, and hives
  • Memory loss, seizures, involuntary muscle movements, speech problems, fainting, changes in taste, vertigo (spinning sensation)
  • Smaller pupils, vision problems
  • Fast or irregular heartbeat, low blood pressure (especially when standing up)
  • Very slow or shallow breathing, breathing pauses during sleep (sleep apnea)
  • Stomach or bowel problems like gas, difficulty swallowing, or blockages, severe upper stomach pain
  • Dry skin, swelling in hands, ankles, or feet, thirst, chills
  • Trouble emptying your bladder, problems with sex drive or erectile dysfunction, low sex hormones, missed periods
  • Withdrawal symptoms if you stop the medicine suddenly, or in newborns whose mothers used this medicine
  • Increased sensitivity to pain, dental problems, aggression

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to oxycodone or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you have severe breathing problems, severe asthma, or heart problems due to a long-term lung disease.
  • Inform your doctor if your bowel movements are very slow or have stopped.
  • This medicine contains oxycodone, which is an opioid and can lead to dependence or addiction. Your doctor will monitor you closely.
  • Contact your doctor if you have severe upper stomach pain that might spread to your back, as this could be a sign of pancreas inflammation.
