How to Use

Dosage

For adults, the usual dose is 200-400 mg per day.

Method

Take this medicine with a meal.

Important

The maximum recommended daily dose for adults is 400 mg.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to hydroxychloroquine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you have porphyria, psoriasis, an eye disease affecting your retina, or severe kidney problems.
  • This medicine can cause mental health problems like strange thoughts, anxiety, seeing or hearing things that are not there, confusion, or depression, including thoughts of harming yourself. Seek immediate medical help if this happens.
  • Stop taking this medicine and contact your doctor right away if you get severe skin rashes, blisters, or peeling skin, especially with fever or flu-like symptoms.
  • Oxiklorin can affect your heart, kidneys, or muscles. Your doctor will explain the signs to look for.

  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before taking this medicine. It is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless your doctor decides the benefits outweigh the risks.
  • Long-term use can sometimes cause vision or hearing problems. If you notice any changes, contact your doctor and be careful when driving or operating machines.

Category C
