Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to oxazepam, other benzodiazepines, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have severe breathing problems, a muscle weakness condition called myasthenia gravis, severe sleep apnea, or acute poisoning from alcohol or other medicines.
  • Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine, as it can be dangerous and increase the effects of the medicine.
  • This medicine can affect your ability to drive or use machines. Be careful, especially at the start of treatment and if you drink alcohol.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly, as long-term use can cause dependence and withdrawal symptoms like anxiety, insomnia, and seizures. Always reduce the dose gradually under your doctor's supervision.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Sedative. For short-term use only. Increases the risk of drug addiction, cognitive disorder and traffic accidents. Increases risk of falls. Paradoxically, may increase anxiety, restlessness and aggression. (updated 15.1.2024)
