How to Use

Dosage

Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected skin area once a day.

Method

Use only a small amount. A fingertip unit (from the fingertip to the first crease) is enough for an area the size of two adult hands.

Important

Do not use more cream or more often than your doctor has instructed.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Inflamed hair follicles
  • Itching
  • Widened blood vessels or spider veins on the skin
  • Burning sensation
  • Pain or other reactions where the cream is applied
  • Secondary infections (infections that appear during or after treatment for another illness)
  • Numbness or tingling sensation on the skin
  • Blurred vision
  • Changes in skin color
  • Skin softening and lightening
  • Prickly heat (itchy rash from heat)
  • Acne-like skin inflammation
  • Skin thinning
  • Uneven spots or stripes on the skin
  • Abnormal hair growth
  • Hypersensitivity to mometasone
  • Skin inflammation around the mouth
  • Recurring deep hair follicle infection (boils)
  • Allergic contact dermatitis
  • Skin irritation and dry skin
  • Rosacea-like facial inflammation (with redness, swelling, and blisters on cheeks and nose)
  • Flat blue or purple patches on the skin (bruises)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use on your face unless your doctor tells you to.
  • Keep the cream away from your eyes.
  • Do not cover the treated area with bandages or dressings unless your doctor says so, as this can increase side effects.
  • If your skin becomes irritated or sensitive while using Ovixan, tell your doctor right away.
  • If you use this medicine for psoriasis, your condition might get worse. Your doctor should check your progress regularly.

  • Contact your doctor if you experience blurred vision or other eye problems.
  • Do not use the cream on large areas of skin (more than 20% of your body) or for a long time.
  • For children over 2 years, only use if prescribed by a doctor and on no more than 10% of their skin.
  • Ovixan is not recommended for children under 2 years old.
  • If you have used the cream for a long time, do not stop suddenly. Reduce use gradually as advised by your doctor.
  • Do not use if you are allergic to mometasone furoate, other corticosteroids, or any other ingredient.
