Otazem is an ear drop solution that contains a corticosteroid to reduce inflammation and itching, used to treat ear canal eczema in adults with an intact eardrum.
One single-dose container in the affected ear twice a day for seven days.
Wash your hands. Warm the drops by holding the container in your hand. Twist open the container cap. Tilt your head to the side so the affected ear faces upwards. Squeeze all the liquid from the container into your ear. Gently pull your earlobe up and back to help the drops enter. Keep your head tilted for about one minute. Discard the container after use. Repeat for the other ear if instructed by your doctor.
Do not exceed one single-dose container per affected ear, twice daily.
