How to Use

Dosage

Gently rub the gel onto the painful area 2–3 times a day.

Method

Rub in the gel until it is absorbed. Do not cover the area. Wash your hands thoroughly after each use.

Important

Do not use more than 15g (about 14 cm of gel) per day or for longer than one week.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Local skin reactions, such as redness, rash, itching, and burning sensation.
RARE
  • Severe skin reactions from sun exposure or allergic reactions like hives, blisters, or spreading rashes.
  • Worsening of existing kidney problems.
  • Serious allergic reactions (anaphylactic shock), severe skin problems (blistering, peeling, or bleeding skin, flu-like symptoms), or angioedema (swelling of the face, tongue, or throat; difficulty swallowing or breathing; hives).

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to ketoprofen, other pain relievers (like aspirin), or any other ingredients in the gel.
  • Do not use if you have had asthma, hay fever, or hives after using other pain relievers.
  • Do not use the gel on broken skin, rashes, acne, or inflamed skin.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have heart, liver, or kidney problems, asthma, long-term runny nose, or nasal polyps.
  • Stop using the gel and contact a doctor immediately if you experience a skin reaction.

  • Do not expose treated skin areas to sunlight or sunbeds during treatment or for two weeks afterwards. Cover the areas with clothing.
  • Orudis gel should not be used by children under 12 years of age.
  • For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes.
  • Do not use during the last three months of pregnancy. Not recommended while breastfeeding. May make it harder to get pregnant.
