How to Use

Dosage

The recommended dose is eight drops of the hand-warm solution into the affected ear.

Method

Apply the drops approximately every 3-5 hours. After applying, lie on your side for about 10 minutes with the treated ear facing upwards. If needed, a cotton swab moistened with the ear drop solution can be placed in the outer ear canal.

Important

Do not exceed 64 drops in a 24-hour period (based on 8 drops every 3 hours).

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Dizziness
  • Nausea
  • Repeated involuntary eye movements
  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
  • Lightheadedness
  • Difficulty balancing when walking

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to cincocaine hydrochloride or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if your ear is discharging fluid.
  • Do not use if your eardrum has ruptured or been punctured within the last two weeks, if it has a permanent hole, or if you have ear tubes.
  • Do not use Orodrops in or near your eyes or mouth.
  • Talk to your doctor before using Orodrops if you suspect the skin in your ear canal is damaged (e.g., due to propylene glycol content).

  • Children under 2 years old and patients with severe ear infections should use this medicine under a doctor's supervision.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
  • Swallowing Orodrops can be very dangerous, especially for children. If you or someone else has swallowed Orodrops, contact a doctor immediately.
  • If you have used too much medicine by mistake, or if a child has taken it by accident, contact a doctor, hospital, or poison control center immediately for advice.
