How to Use

Dosage

Take one 10 mg Oridip tablet once a day, preferably in the morning at least 15 minutes before breakfast. Your doctor might increase the dose to 20 mg per day.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with water. You can break the tablet if it's hard to swallow whole.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 20 mg.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Headache
  • Fast heartbeat
  • Palpitations (feeling of a fast or uneven heartbeat)
  • Flushing of face, neck or chest
  • Ankle swelling
RARE
  • Angina pectoris (chest pain, a tight feeling in the chest because the heart does not get enough blood)
  • Allergic reactions (such as itching, rash, hives)
  • Fainting
  • Dizziness
  • Low blood pressure
  • Heartburn
  • Nausea
  • Stomach pain
  • Rash
  • Itching
  • Muscle pain
  • Increased urine volume
  • Weakness and tiredness
  • Drowsiness
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhoea
  • Hives
  • Increased need to urinate
  • Chest pain

Important Warnings

  • Do not take if you are allergic to Oridip or any of its ingredients.
  • Do not take if you have certain heart problems, such as untreated heart failure, narrowing of the heart's outflow tract, unstable angina, or a heart attack within the last month.
  • Do not take if you have severe liver or kidney disease, or if you are on dialysis.
  • Do not take if you are using certain medicines that affect liver function, such as some antifungals (e.g., ketoconazole), macrolide antibiotics (e.g., erythromycin), or antiviral medicines (e.g., ritonavir).
  • Do not take if you are using ciclosporin (used after organ transplants).

  • Do not consume grapefruit or grapefruit juice with this medicine.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have heart, liver, or kidney disease.
  • Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
  • Avoid alcohol while taking Oridip.
  • If you feel dizzy, weak, or sleepy, do not drive or operate machinery.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category A

Suitable for older adults. Do not use in severe renal impairment. Significant adverse effects include ankle oedema and orthostatic hypotension. Consider potential interactions. Avoid grapefruit. (updated 17.2.2025)
