Orgametril contains lynestrenol, a substance similar to the hormone progesterone, and is used to treat menstrual cycle disorders, ovulation pain, and certain breast and uterine conditions.

How to Use
Dosage
Usually 1 tablet daily from day 14 to 25 of the menstrual cycle. For heavy or prolonged periods, 2 tablets daily for 10 days. For other conditions, daily for long periods without a break.
Method
Take the tablets with water, at about the same time each day.
Important
The maximum dose is usually 2 tablets per day.
Possible Side Effects

- •Allergic reactions
- •Changes in sexual desire (increased or decreased)
- •Feeling sick (nausea), throwing up (vomiting), stomach pain, diarrhea, constipation

- •Headaches (including migraines)
- •Dizziness

- •More sweating
- •Oily skin, acne
- •Increased hair growth on body or face
- •Brown spots on skin exposed to sun (liver spots)

- •Yellow skin or eyes (jaundice)
- •Vaginal bleeding between normal periods (especially in the first two months)
- •Missed periods
- •Changes in vaginal discharge
- •Breast pain
- •Fluid buildup in tissues, causing swelling (e.g., in ankles or feet)
- •For diabetics: increased need for insulin or diabetes pills
- •Small rise in blood sugar after eating
- •Changes in blood fat and cholesterol levels
Important Warnings
- Do not take if you are pregnant or suspect you are pregnant.
- Do not take if you have severe liver disease (such as jaundice or a liver tumor) or are recovering from one.
- Do not take if you have unexplained vaginal bleeding that your doctor has not checked.
- Do not take if you have a blood clot (thrombosis, e.g., in the leg or lung).
- Do not take if you are allergic to lynestrenol or any other ingredient in this medicine.
