How to Use

Dosage

Your dentist or dental hygienist will decide your dose based on how many teeth need treatment.

Method

The gel is applied to your gums using a special syringe or dispenser.

Important

A maximum of five ampoules (8.5 g of gel) per treatment session.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Headache
  • Changes in taste
  • Reactions in your mouth, such as pain, numbness, sores, irritation, or redness in parts of your mouth or on your lips.
RARE
  • Allergic reactions, which may include rash, swollen throat, difficulty breathing, and fever.
  • Dizziness
  • Nausea (feeling sick)
  • Difficulty breathing and cyanosis (bluish discoloration of lips and skin).
  • Burning sensation
  • Swelling at the application site

Important Warnings

  • If you are allergic to lidocaine, prilocaine, other numbing medicines, or any other ingredients.
  • If your doctor has told you that you have methemoglobinemia (a condition where there's too much altered hemoglobin in your blood).
  • If you have porphyria (a disease affecting how your blood is made).
  • Tell your dentist if you have kidney or liver disease.
  • Tell your dentist if you have heart rhythm problems.

  • Tell your dentist if you have sores or inflammation in your mouth.
  • Tell your dentist if you have glucose-6-phosphate deficiency.
  • Not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
  • Avoid getting the gel in your eyes. If it gets in your eyes, rinse immediately with water and protect your eye until feeling returns.
  • The gel can temporarily numb your mouth. Avoid accidentally biting your lips or cheeks and avoid hot drinks until feeling returns.
  • The gel may affect doping test results.
  • Tell your dentist if you are using other numbing medicines or heart rhythm medicines, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
  • Tell your dentist if you are taking medicines that can cause methemoglobinemia (e.g., certain antibiotics).
  • Tell your dentist if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. The gel should not usually be used during pregnancy unless your dentist recommends it.
