Ophtesic is an eye gel that numbs your eye for eye procedures carried out by a doctor.
The recommended dose is 1 gram of gel, applied to the eye surface, which is about one-third of the tube. More may be used if needed.
A doctor will apply the gel to your eye and surrounding areas for 5 minutes before the procedure. Hold the tube downwards and gently squeeze out the gel to cover the eye surface. Let it work for 3-5 minutes before rinsing. Do not touch the eye with the tube tip.
Do not use more than one tube per eye or per procedure. The gel can be reapplied to maintain the numbing effect if needed during a longer procedure.
