Ondansetron Stada is a medicine used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting caused by cancer treatment or surgery.
For adults, typically 4-8 mg before surgery or 8 mg 1-2 hours before cancer treatment, followed by another 8 mg later, and then 8 mg twice daily for up to 5 days. For children, the doctor will decide the dose.
Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water.
Do not take more than 16 mg per day for adults. For children, the maximum daily dose is 8 mg.
Suitable for older adults, with specific cautions. May prolong the QT interval especially with other preparations prolonging QT. Take interactions into account. (updated 20.5.2024)
