Omnipaque is a medicine used in X-rays and other imaging tests to help doctors see inside the body more clearly for diagnostic purposes.
The dose depends on the type of test, your age, weight, and general health. Your doctor or nurse will determine the correct dose for you.
This medicine is usually given as an injection into a vein, artery, or spine. It can also be given into other body cavities, rectally for children, or orally for adults.
The total amount of iodine for adults should not exceed 3 grams. Your doctor will monitor this.
