How to Use

Dosage

Take one tablet daily.

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with or without food. Do not chew or crush it.

Important

Do not take more than one tablet per day.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Dizziness
  • Abnormal ejaculation (semen may go into the bladder or ejaculation may not happen)
RARE
  • Headache
  • Fast or strong heartbeat (palpitations)
  • Dizziness when changing position (e.g., sitting up or standing)
  • Runny nose
  • Stomach problems (constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting)
  • Allergic skin reactions (rash, itching, hives)
  • Feeling weak or drowsy
  • Fainting
  • Severe allergic reaction with swelling of the face, tongue or throat (angioedema)
  • Prolonged, painful erection (priapism)
  • Severe blistering and peeling skin rash, especially around the mouth, nose, eyes, and genitals (Stevens-Johnson syndrome)
  • Severe skin rash with pink/red, pale, itchy, scaly, or fluid-filled patches (erythema multiforme)
  • Blurred vision
  • Impaired vision
  • Nosebleed
  • Dry mouth
  • Flaky skin inflammation (exfoliative dermatitis)
  • Unusual irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation, arrhythmia, tachycardia)
  • Shortness of breath

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to tamsulosin or any other ingredient in this medicine. An allergic reaction might cause sudden swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, making it hard to breathe, or causing itching and rash.
  • Do not use if you have ever felt dizzy due to low blood pressure when sitting up or standing.
  • Tell your doctor if you have severe liver problems.
  • Tell your doctor about all other medicines you take, especially antifungals like ketoconazole, as they can affect how your body handles Omnic Ocas.
  • You will need regular check-ups with your doctor to make sure the medicine is working correctly.

  • This medicine can sometimes cause dizziness or fainting. If you feel dizzy or weak, sit or lie down until you feel better.
  • Tell your doctor if you have severe kidney problems.
  • If you are having eye surgery for cataracts or glaucoma, tell your eye doctor if you are taking or have taken Omnic Ocas.

Use in Elderly Patients

Category C

Suitable for older adults, with specific precautions. Significant adverse effects include orthostatic hypotension and dizziness. Increases risk of falls. Consider potential interactions especially with antihypertensives. (updated 25.11.2024)
