Olimel Perifer N4E is a medicine given into a vein to provide nutrition (sugar, fat, and protein) when you cannot eat normally.
Your doctor will decide your dose based on your age, weight, and health condition. One bag is usually given over 12 to 24 hours.
This medicine is given as a slow drip (infusion) into a vein. It can go into a vein in your arm or a larger vein in your chest. The medicine should be at room temperature before it is given.
The most an adult weighing 70 kg can receive in a day is 2800 ml (about 2.8 liters). This amount gives 71g of protein, 210g of sugar, and 84g of fat. For children over 2 years old, the maximum daily dose is 45 ml per kilogram of body weight.
