How to Use

Dosage

One drop into the affected eye 1–2 times a day.

Method

Wash your hands, tilt your head back, and pull down your lower eyelid. Put one drop into the eye and close your eye. Press the inner corner of your eye with a finger for about two minutes to prevent the medicine from spreading to other parts of the body.

Important

Maximum two drops per day (one drop twice a day).

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Headache

  • Dry eyes, eye irritation, inflammation (eyelid, conjunctiva, cornea), vision problems (such as blurred vision, double vision, drooping eyelid)
  • Slow or irregular heartbeat, low blood pressure, heart failure (shortness of breath, swollen legs), chest pain, palpitations, swelling (fluid retention), heart attack, poor circulation (cold hands/feet)
  • Shortness of breath, cough, stuffy nose, constricted airways (difficulty breathing)
  • Dizziness, fatigue, depression, insomnia, anxiety, confusion, memory loss, nightmares, weakness, fainting, stroke
  • Allergic reactions, such as rash, hives, itching, skin swelling (face, arms, legs), difficulty swallowing or breathing, hair loss
  • Dry mouth, nausea, taste changes, indigestion, diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting
  • Muscle weakness (worsening of myasthenia gravis symptoms), muscle pain
  • Psoriasis-like rash or worsening of psoriasis
  • Low blood sugar, decreased sex drive

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to timolol, beta-blockers, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have heart problems (such as heart failure, slow heart rate, low blood pressure, or irregular heartbeat).
  • Talk to your doctor if you have breathing problems (such as asthma or severe lung disease).
  • If you have diabetes, this medicine can hide symptoms of low blood sugar. Talk to your doctor.
  • Tell your doctor before surgery or anesthesia, as the medicine can affect other medicines.

  • Remove contact lenses before using the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before putting them back in.
  • Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless your doctor considers it necessary.
  • Do not stop using the medicine without talking to your doctor first.
