Oftan Obucain eye drops contain oxybuprocaine, a local anesthetic that quickly provides short-term numbing to the eye's surface for eye examinations and treatments.
For eye pressure measurement, use 1–2 drops. For removing a foreign object, use one drop 3–4 times, half a minute apart.
Wash your hands. Carefully open the bottle, do not touch the tip. Tilt your head back or lie down. Pull down your lower eyelid and put one drop between your eyelid and eye. Close your eye and gently press the inner corner of your eye for one minute. If you use multiple medications in the same eye, wait at least 5 minutes between drops.
There is no general maximum daily dose, as the drops are used locally and as directed by a doctor for specific procedures.
