How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor or nurse will determine your dose based on your weight and condition.

Method

The medicine is given directly into a vein as an infusion.

Important

The infusion rate should not exceed 1 ml per kilogram of body weight per minute.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Hives, itching
RARE
  • Allergic reactions, severe allergic reactions and shock
  • Lack of red blood cells, bleeding tendency
  • Anxiety, agitation, restlessness
  • Reduced sense of touch or sensation, dizziness, tingling
  • Heart failure, irregular heartbeat, fast heart rate
  • Blood clots in vessels, decreased blood pressure, increased blood pressure, circulatory failure, skin redness
  • Shortness of breath, respiratory failure, bleeding in lungs, constricted airways, fluid in lungs, difficulty breathing, acute respiratory distress
  • Vomiting, nausea, abdominal pain
  • Rash, increased sweating
  • Back pain
  • Fever, chest pain, chest discomfort, chills, local swelling, general discomfort, reaction at injection site
  • Positive antibody test, decreased blood oxygen levels
  • Increased blood volume, citrate poisoning, red blood cell destruction

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to human plasma proteins or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had a reaction to any human plasma product or fresh frozen plasma before.
  • Inform your doctor if you have certain immune problems, such as IgA antibodies or low protein S levels.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have heart failure or fluid in your lungs.
  • Be careful if you are at risk of blood clots.

  • You will be monitored for allergic reactions for at least 20 minutes after the infusion.
  • Do not mix this medicine with other intravenous fluids or medicines, except red blood cells and platelets if they are compatible. Do not mix with calcium-containing solutions in the same vein to avoid clots.
  • Do not use the medicine if the solution is cloudy, contains particles, or has changed color.
  • High doses can lead to fluid buildup in the body, fluid in the lungs, or heart problems.
