Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to human immunoglobulin or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have an IgA deficiency and have developed antibodies against IgA.
  • This medicine can cause false high readings in some blood sugar tests. Always inform your doctor or nurse if you are taking this medicine and need a blood sugar test. A specific test method may be required.
  • This medicine can reduce the effectiveness of some live virus vaccines (like measles, mumps, rubella, chickenpox). Tell your doctor about any recent or upcoming vaccinations.
  • There is a risk of blood clots (e.g., heart attack, stroke, DVT, lung clot). This risk is higher if you are overweight, elderly, have high blood pressure, diabetes, or have had similar problems before. Stay well-hydrated and ensure the medicine is given slowly.

  • If you have kidney problems or risk factors like diabetes, overweight, or are over 65, this medicine should be given very slowly to prevent serious kidney issues. Inform your doctor about your kidney health.
  • Patients with blood type A, B, or AB, or certain inflammatory conditions, have a higher risk of red blood cell destruction (hemolysis). Inform your doctor about your blood type and any inflammatory conditions.
  • Contact your doctor immediately if you experience severe allergic reactions (swelling of face/tongue/throat, sudden shortness of breath, rash, wheezing, drop in blood pressure), stroke symptoms (weakness/numbness on one side), heart attack (chest pain), severe blood clots (pain/swelling in limbs, chest pain/shortness of breath for lung clot), anemia (shortness of breath, pale skin), severe kidney problems (inability to urinate), severe lung injury (TRALI: breathing difficulties, bluish skin, fever, low blood pressure), or severe headache with stiff neck, drowsiness, fever, light sensitivity, nausea, or vomiting (possible meningitis).
