Octafil Low is a medicine that helps your blood clot by providing a missing protein called Factor VIII, used to treat and prevent bleeding in people with hemophilia A.
Your doctor will tell you the exact dose you need. For long-term prevention of bleeding, it's typically 20-40 IU per kg of body weight every 2-3 days.
Octafil Low is given as an injection directly into a vein (intravenously) after mixing the powder with the liquid provided. Inject slowly, about 2-3 ml per minute.
Always follow your doctor's instructions for your maximum daily dose; do not exceed the recommended amount.
