How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will decide the right dose for you. Typically, adults receive 1 ampoule per day, or up to 2 ampoules if more is needed.

Method

This medicine is given as an intravenous drip by a healthcare professional after it has been diluted. The infusion usually lasts between 6 and 24 hours.

Important

The usual maximum daily dose for adults is 2 ampoules. Higher doses may be needed in specific situations, such as severe injuries.

Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) to the iron given intravenously, which can be life-threatening.
  • Allergic reactions to iodine.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.
  • Do not use this medicine if you have certain liver conditions like cholestasis, Wilson's disease, or specific iron overload disorders.
  • This medicine is not for newborns, babies, or children. It is also not recommended for adolescents.
  • Tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, as your dose may need to be adjusted.
  • Inform your doctor if you have an overactive thyroid or an allergy to iodine.
