How to Use

Method

This medicine is given as an infusion (drip) directly into a vein through a small tube. It can be given into a small (peripheral) or large (central) vein.

Important

The recommended infusion time for one bag is a maximum of 24 hours.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Vein irritation or inflammation (phlebitis, thrombophlebitis).
RARE
  • Allergic reactions, such as skin rash, shortness of breath, swelling of the lips, mouth, and throat, or difficulty breathing.
  • Nausea, vomiting, or loss of appetite.
  • Increased tendency to form blood clots.
  • Bluish discoloration of the skin.
  • Headache.
  • Flushing, skin redness, sweating, chills, feeling cold, or high body temperature.
  • Drowsiness.
  • Pain in the chest, back, bones, or pelvic area.
  • Decrease or increase in blood pressure.
  • Abnormally high blood fat or sugar levels, or high levels of acidic substances in the blood.
  • Too much lipid can lead to fat overload syndrome, with symptoms usually disappearing when the infusion is stopped.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to the active ingredients, eggs, peanuts, soybeans, fish, or any other component of this medicine.
  • This medicine should not be given to newborns, infants, or children under two years old.
  • Do not use this medicine if you have severe circulation problems (e.g., shock), severe blood clotting disorders, blood clots, severe liver or kidney failure, or fluid in your lungs.
  • Tell your doctor if you have heart, liver, or kidney problems, diabetes, high blood lipid levels, or imbalances in your body's fluid, salt, or acid-base balance.
  • Healthcare staff will monitor you closely for early signs of allergic reactions, such as fever, chills, rash, or shortness of breath.

  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor. Use is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless absolutely necessary.
  • This medicine contains sodium (a component of table salt), which is important to consider if you are on a low-salt diet. Discuss with your doctor if you are using this product for a long time.
