How to Use
Dosage

Method
This medicine is given as an infusion (drip) directly into a large vein through a small tube.
Important
One bag of this medicine should be given over a maximum of 24 hours.

- •Sweating
- •Chills
- •Feeling cold
- •High body temperature

- •Pain in the chest, back, bones, or hip area
- •Decrease or increase in blood pressure
- •Abnormally high blood fat or blood sugar levels
- •High levels of acidic substances in the blood
- •Too much fat can lead to fat overload syndrome
- •Reduced white blood cells (leukopenia)
- •Reduced platelets (thrombocytopenia)
- •Impaired bile flow (cholestasis)
Important Warnings
- Do not use if you are allergic to the active ingredients, eggs, peanuts, soybeans, or any other component of this medicine.
- This medicine should not be given to newborns, infants, or children under two years old.
- Do not use if you have life-threatening circulation problems, such as unconsciousness or shock.
- Do not use if you have had a heart attack or stroke.
- Do not use if you have a severe blood clotting disorder or high risk of bleeding.

- Do not use if you have blood clots or blockages in your blood vessels caused by fat.
- Do not use if you have severe liver failure.
- Do not use if you have impaired bile flow (cholestasis).
- Do not use if you have severe kidney failure that is not being treated with kidney replacement therapy.
- Do not use if you have imbalances in your body's salt levels, or too much or too little fluid in your body.
- Do not use if you have fluid in your lungs (pulmonary edema).
- Do not use if you have severe heart failure.
- Do not use if you have certain metabolic disorders, such as too many fats in your blood, congenital amino acid metabolism disorders, or very high blood sugar requiring more than 6 units of insulin per hour.
- Do not use if you have metabolic disorders after surgery or injury.
- Do not use if you are in a coma of unknown cause.
- Do not use if your tissues are not getting enough oxygen.
- Do not use if you have too much acid in your blood.
- Breastfeeding is not recommended during treatment. If you are pregnant, this medicine will only be given if your doctor considers it absolutely necessary for your recovery.
