Novopulmon Novolizer contains budesonide, a cortisone medicine for inhalation, used for the long-term treatment of persistent asthma.
For adults and children over 12, the usual starting dose is 1 inhalation (400 micrograms) once or twice daily. For children aged 5-12, the usual starting dose is 1 inhalation (400 micrograms) once daily.
Inhale the medicine as instructed by your doctor. To prevent fungal infections in your mouth and throat and hoarseness, take the inhalation before meals and/or rinse your mouth with water or brush your teeth after each use. If taking once a day, it's best to take it in the evening.
Adults and children over 12 should not take more than 1600 micrograms (4 inhalations) per day. Children aged 5-12 should not take more than 800 micrograms (2 inhalations) per day.
