How to Use

Dosage

A doctor or nurse will give you Noradrenaline Sintetica in a hospital. The exact dose will be determined by your doctor.

Method

This medicine is given as an infusion directly into a vein.

Your doctor will determine and monitor your maximum daily dose.

Possible Side Effects

  • Palpitations
  • Increased contraction of heart muscle
  • Acute heart failure
  • Abnormal heart rhythm
  • Breathing difficulties

  • Confusion
  • Weakness
  • Psychotic state
  • Headache
  • Tremors
  • High blood pressure, lack of oxygen in an organ (hypoxia)
  • Acute glaucoma
  • Cold limbs
  • Painful limbs
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Urinary retention (difficulty emptying bladder)
  • Local irritation at the injection site and tissue death (necrosis)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to noradrenaline or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you have abnormally low blood pressure due to abnormally low blood volume (hypovolemia).
  • Do not use if you are given certain anesthetics, such as halothane or cyclopropane, as they can increase the risk of irregular heartbeat.
  • Tell your doctor if you have diabetes.
  • Tell your doctor if you have high blood pressure.

  • Tell your doctor if you have low blood pressure after a heart attack.
  • Tell your doctor if you have chest pain called Prinzmetal's angina.
  • Tell your doctor if you are elderly.
  • Tell your doctor if you are at risk of extravasation (blood or lymph fluid leaking from blood vessels into surrounding tissues).
  • Tell your doctor if you have severe left ventricular dysfunction (a serious heart condition).
  • If you have irregular heart rhythm (your heart beats too fast, too slow, or irregularly), you may need a lower dose.
  • Overdose or hypersensitivity may cause very high blood pressure, sensitivity to light, chest pain behind the breastbone, throat pain, paleness, severe sweating, and vomiting.
