Noradrenalin Laboratoire Aguettant raises blood pressure in emergencies by constricting blood vessels when a patient has low blood pressure.
The initial dose is 0.4–0.8 mg of noradrenaline per hour. The dosage is adjusted individually by a doctor to achieve normal blood pressure.
A doctor or nurse will give this medication in the hospital as a diluted infusion directly into a vein. It should not be mixed with other medicines.
The dose is continuously adjusted to maintain normal blood pressure, typically a systolic pressure of 100-120 mmHg or a mean arterial pressure of 65-80 mmHg, depending on your condition.
