How to Use

Dosage

The usual starting dose is 0.05-0.15 micrograms per kg per minute, adjusted individually to achieve the target blood pressure.

Method

This medicine is only given in emergencies by a healthcare professional as an intravenous infusion into a central vein.

Important

The maximum recommended dose is 2.5 micrograms per kg per minute.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to noradrenaline or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken medicines for depression (MAO inhibitors or tricyclic antidepressants).
  • Tell your doctor if you are taking medicines for Parkinson's disease.
  • Tell your doctor if you have heart problems.
  • Tell your doctor if you have diabetes.
