How to Use

Dosage

The recommended dose for adults and children over 6 years old is one tablet daily.

Method

Take the tablet whole with water. You can take it with or without food.

Important

Do not take more than one 5 mg tablet per day.

  • Itching, skin rash, hives (itchy bumps on skin), or skin inflammation
  • Shortness of breath
  • Weight gain
  • Muscle or joint pain
  • Aggressive or restless behavior
  • Seeing or hearing things that aren't there (hallucinations)
  • Feeling sad or down (depression)
  • Thoughts of harming yourself
  • Bad dreams
  • Liver problems (e.g., hepatitis, abnormal liver tests)
  • Increased appetite
  • Feeling sick (nausea)
  • Severe itching after stopping the medicine

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Nocedan if you are allergic to levocetirizine dihydrochloride, cetirizine, hydroxyzine, other piperazine medicines, or any other ingredients in this medicine.
  • Do not take Nocedan if you have severe kidney disease requiring dialysis.
  • If you have difficulty urinating (e.g., due to a spinal cord injury or enlarged prostate), ask your doctor for advice.
  • If you have epilepsy or a risk of seizures, ask your doctor for advice, as Nocedan may worsen seizures.
  • If you are going for allergy tests, ask your doctor if you should stop taking Nocedan several days before, as this medicine may affect test results.

  • Be careful if you take Nocedan with alcohol or other medicines that affect the central nervous system, as it can make you less alert.
  • These tablets contain lactose. If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance to some sugars, talk to your doctor before taking this medicine.
