How to Use

Dosage

Adults, elderly, and children over 12 years: one full tube (30 g) per treatment. Children 6-12 years: half a tube (15 g) per treatment. Children 2 months-5 years: quarter of a tube (7.5 g) per treatment.

Method

Apply cream to clean, dry, cool skin, preferably in the evening. Leave on for 8-12 hours, then wash off. For adults and children over 2 years, apply to the entire body, avoiding the face unless affected, paying extra attention to skin folds. For children under 2 and the elderly, apply to the entire body, including neck, ears, and scalp, but avoid around the mouth and eyes.

Important

Not a daily medication. Do not exceed 60g (2 tubes) per single treatment application for adults. The treatment is given twice with a 7-10 day interval.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Skin sensations such as tingling, prickling, or burning on the skin.
RARE
  • Redness, eczema, rash.
  • Sensory disturbances.
  • Itching, stinging, swelling.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to permethrin, synthetic pyrethroids, pyrethrins, formaldehyde, or any other ingredient in Nix. Talk to your doctor if you are allergic to chrysanthemums or other Compositae plants.
  • Nix is for external use on the skin only. Avoid contact with eyes. If cream gets into eyes, rinse immediately with water or saline solution.
  • This medicine should only be given to children under 2 years and the elderly under a doctor's supervision. Do not use on newborns and infants under 2 months unless directed by a doctor.
  • Do not treat rash-like reactions with corticosteroids before using Nix, as corticosteroids can weaken your body's defenses and worsen scabies.
  • Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if clearly necessary and as advised by your doctor. Do not apply to breasts if breastfeeding, as the baby might ingest it.
