How to Use

Dosage

The usual starting dose is 5 mg (one tablet). If you are elderly, frail, or have lung, liver, or kidney disease, the starting dose is typically 2.5 mg (half a tablet).

Method

Swallow the tablet whole with water or another non-alcoholic drink. Take the medicine just before going to bed. Ensure you can sleep undisturbed for 7-8 hours after taking the tablets.

Important

Do not exceed the dose prescribed by your doctor. Treatment usually lasts no longer than four weeks.

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to nitrazepam, other benzodiazepines, or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • This medicine is not for children under 18 years of age.
  • Tell your doctor before taking this medicine if you have a long-term lung, liver, or kidney disease.
  • Tell your doctor if you have depression, mental illness, or a history of alcohol or drug abuse. Do not drink alcohol or use drugs while taking this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.

  • If you are elderly, be careful when getting up at night, as this medicine relaxes muscles and increases the risk of falls and hip fractures.
  • This medicine can make you less alert, confused, tired, or dizzy. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you.
  • Taking this medicine with strong pain relievers (opioids) can cause severe drowsiness, serious breathing problems, coma, and even death. Discuss all medicines you take with your doctor.
  • Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without talking to your doctor first, as it can lead to withdrawal symptoms.
  • You can become dependent on these tablets if you use high doses for a long time.
