How to Use

Dosage

Take one 100 mg capsule two times a day.

Method

Take capsules about 12 hours apart, at the same time each day (e.g., one in the morning, one in the evening). Swallow whole with water; do not chew. Take with food or right after a meal. Do not open or crush capsules.

Important

Do not take more than two 100 mg capsules per day (200 mg total).

  • Kidney failure
  • Aneurysms (bulging/weakening of blood vessel walls) or artery dissection (tear in artery wall)
  • Brain disorder (e.g., PRES) with symptoms like headache, vision changes, confusion, seizures, weakness in an arm/leg, possibly high blood pressure

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to nintedanib or any other ingredients, or if you are pregnant.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you experience diarrhea, as early treatment is important.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you vomit or feel very sick.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you notice yellowing of skin/eyes, dark urine, pain in the upper right belly, increased bleeding/bruising, or tiredness, as these can be signs of serious liver problems.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you have severe belly pain, fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, or a hard/swollen belly, as these can be signs of a hole in the bowel wall.

  • Tell your doctor immediately if you have severe belly pain or cramps with red blood in your stool or diarrhea, as these can be signs of bowel inflammation due to poor blood flow.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you have pain, swelling, redness, or warmth in an arm or leg, as these can be signs of a blood clot in a vein.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you have chest tightness or pain, especially on the left side, or pain in your neck, jaw, shoulder, or arm, rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, nausea, or vomiting, as these can be signs of a heart attack.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you have any significant bleeding.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you have bruising, bleeding, fever, tiredness, and confusion, as these can be signs of a rare blood vessel problem called TMA.
  • Tell your doctor immediately if you have headache, vision changes, confusion, seizures, or weakness in an arm or leg, possibly with high blood pressure, as these can be signs of a brain condition called PRES.
