How to Use

Dosage

Take 2 tablets, 6 times a day.

Method

Swallow tablets whole with liquid, regardless of meals. Doses should be taken at least 4 hours apart.

Important

Maximum daily dose is 12 tablets (360 mg).

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Nimotop if you are allergic to nimodipine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not take Nimotop if you are also taking rifampicin or certain epilepsy medicines like phenobarbital, phenytoin, or carbamazepine.
  • Tell your doctor before starting treatment if you have liver problems or very low blood pressure.
  • Tell your doctor if you have swelling or increased pressure in your brain.
  • Tell your doctor if you have certain types of chest pain (like unstable angina) or have had a heart attack in the last 4 weeks.

  • Some other medicines, like certain antibiotics, medicines for viruses or fungi, antidepressants, and stomach ulcer medicines, can affect how Nimotop works. Always tell your doctor about all medicines you are taking.
  • Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice while taking Nimotop, as it can increase the medicine's effect.
  • Nimotop is not for children or teenagers under 18 years old because its safety and effectiveness have not been studied for them.
  • If you forget a dose, do not take a double dose to make up for it.
