How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor or nurse will decide the right dose for you, based on your weight and how much muscle relaxation you need.

Method

Nimbex is given as an injection or a slow drip into a vein by a trained healthcare professional. You will never give yourself this medicine.

Important

The maximum daily dose is managed by your healthcare team in a controlled environment. If you feel you have received too much, tell them immediately.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Slow heart rate
  • Low blood pressure
RARE
  • Rash or red skin
  • Wheezing or coughing
  • Muscle weakness or aches
  • Sudden wheezing, chest pain, or chest tightness (signs of an allergic reaction)
  • Swelling of eyelids, face, lips, mouth, or tongue (signs of an allergic reaction)
  • Raised rash or hives anywhere on your body (signs of an allergic reaction)
  • Fainting or shock (signs of an allergic reaction)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Nimbex if you are allergic to cisatracurium, any other muscle relaxant, or any other ingredients in Nimbex, or if you have had a severe reaction to an anesthetic before.
  • Tell your doctor if you have muscle weakness (like myasthenia gravis), a nerve or muscle disease (like muscular dystrophy, paralysis, motor neuron disease, or cerebral palsy), or if you have severe burns.
