How to Use

Dosage

Take 8-12 lozenges a day, one whenever you feel a strong craving to smoke. Use 2mg if you smoke 20 or less cigarettes a day or have your first cigarette more than 30 minutes after waking. Use 4mg if you smoke more than 20 cigarettes a day or have your first cigarette within 30 minutes of waking.

Method

Put the lozenge in your mouth and let it dissolve slowly. Move it from one side of your mouth to the other until it has fully dissolved (this usually takes less than 20 minutes). Do not chew or swallow the lozenge. Do not eat or drink while the lozenge is in your mouth.

Important

Do not take more than 15 lozenges in one day.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to nicotine or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Do not use if you are under 12 years old or have never smoked.
  • Non-smokers should not use this medicine.
  • A dose suitable for an adult can cause severe poisoning or even death in children. Keep out of reach and sight of children.
  • Talk to your doctor before using if you have recently had a heart attack or stroke.

  • Stop using and contact a doctor immediately if you get a severe allergic reaction, such as hives, swelling of the face, tongue, or throat, or trouble breathing or swallowing.
  • Too much nicotine (overdose) can cause nausea, vomiting, increased saliva, stomach pains, diarrhea, sweating, headache, dizziness, hearing changes, and strong weakness. In severe cases, it can cause low blood pressure, a weak and irregular pulse, breathing difficulties, extreme tiredness, circulatory collapse, and seizures.
