How to Use

Dosage

The usual dose is 8-12 pieces of gum per day. Choose the strength (2mg or 4mg) based on your nicotine dependence.

Method

Chew the gum slowly until you feel a strong taste or tingling. Then, rest the gum between your cheek and gums. When the taste fades, chew slowly again. Chew each gum for about 30 minutes.

Important

Do not use more than 24 pieces of gum in one day.

  • Nausea (feeling sick)
RARE
  • Anaphylactic reaction (severe allergic reaction)
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Reduced sensation in the mouth
  • Retching

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to nicotine or any of the other ingredients.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have had a recent heart attack or stroke.
  • Smokers with dentures may have difficulty chewing Nicorette.
