How to Use

Dosage

If you smoke more than 20 cigarettes a day, start with a 25 mg patch for 16 hours daily for about 2 months. Then use a 15 mg patch for 2 weeks, followed by a 10 mg patch for 2 weeks. If you smoke 20 or fewer cigarettes a day, start with a 15 mg patch for 16 hours daily for about 2 months, then use a 10 mg patch for 4 weeks.

Method

Apply one patch in the morning to clean, dry, hairless skin on your torso, hip, upper arm, or chest. Press it firmly. Remove the patch after about 16 hours, before going to bed. Change the application site daily to prevent skin irritation. Wash your hands after applying.

Important

Apply one patch per day. Do not use for more than 16 hours per day.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Nicorette if you are allergic to nicotine or any other ingredient, or if you have a widespread, long-lasting skin disease.
  • Talk to your doctor if you recently had a heart attack or stroke.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have chest pain or heart problems.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure or diabetes.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have severe liver or kidney problems.
