Nicorette patches help you quit smoking by reducing nicotine cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
If you smoke more than 20 cigarettes a day, start with a 25 mg patch for 16 hours daily for about 2 months. Then use a 15 mg patch for 2 weeks, followed by a 10 mg patch for 2 weeks. If you smoke 20 or fewer cigarettes a day, start with a 15 mg patch for 16 hours daily for about 2 months, then use a 10 mg patch for 4 weeks.
Apply one patch in the morning to clean, dry, hairless skin on your torso, hip, upper arm, or chest. Press it firmly. Remove the patch after about 16 hours, before going to bed. Change the application site daily to prevent skin irritation. Wash your hands after applying.
Apply one patch per day. Do not use for more than 16 hours per day.
